A pop-of-pink makeup look for spring and summer

-

Makeup looks featuring babydoll pink and rosy cheeks are going strong this spring/ summer. For a fashion take on the trend, consider opting for a monochromatic effect that sees a similar shade worn on the eyes, lips and cheeks. If you're looking for ways to incorporate a feminine touch of pink into your daily beauty routine, here are a few easy (and affordable!) makeup options for you to try at home.

One of the easiest ways to add a hint of pink to your beauty routine is by dressing the eyelid with a soft pop of pink. I chose the Marcelle Long-Wear Eyeshadow Pencil in Pink Galaxy. It's a cream-based, 24-hour wear eyeshadow pencil in a pale pink that can also double as a base for other eye shade formulations.

To define my eyes, I drew on a sleek winged liner using Essence Eyeliner Pen Extra Long Lasting Waterproof. The felt tip liner is easy to apply and doesn't stain or smudge.

If you're looking for dewy-yet-vibrant cheeks, I suggest starting with a powder blush first then layer on a cream blush for an extra pop. This allows you to concentrate the more saturated colour to a sweep of the cream that's then blended out into the powder product for a seamless finish.

I started with Benefit Cosmetics Dandelion Baby Pink Blush and then layered the Essence Baby Got Blush in Tickle Me Pink Multi Stick overtop.

I finished the look by lining and filling-in my lips with MAC Lip Pencil in Soar before laying the same Essence Baby Got Blush Multi Stick in Tickle Me Pink.
