Three Hants County men ar­rested, charged with pos­ses­sion of stolen prop­erty


The RCMP have charged three Hants County men with pos­ses­sion of stolen prop­erty dur­ing an on­go­ing joint in­ves­ti­ga­tion in­volv­ing the East Hants District and Wind­sor District RCMP De­tach­ments.

Ac­cord­ing to a press re­lease, RCMP lo­cated po­lice a stolen trailer on a prop­erty on High­way 14 in Raw­don Gold Mines on April 6.

With the as­sis­tance of a he­li­copter, pro­vided by the Nova Sco­tia Depart­ment of Nat­u­ral Re­sources (DNR), po­lice also lo­cated a stolen truck at a sec­ond prop­erty lo­cated on Hwy 354 in Up­per Raw­don.

Both lo­ca­tions were mul­ti­acre prop­er­ties, which con­tained mul­ti­ple ve­hi­cles, ve­hi­cle parts and ma­chine equip­ment.

With the as­sis­tance of RCMP Spe­cial Tac­ti­cal Op­er­a­tions Search Team, po­lice ex­e­cuted search war­rants at both prop­er­ties.

Over the course of three days, po­lice re­cov­ered three stolen ve­hi­cles, two stolen trail­ers, stolen tools and a small quan­tity of drugs from the prop­erty on High­way 14 and six stolen ve­hi­cles, a stolen mini-ex­ca­va­tor, a small quan­tity of drugs and com­puter equip­ment from the prop­erty on High­way 354.

A third search war­rant was also ex­e­cuted at an­other lo­ca­tion in Up­per Raw­don re­sult­ing in an­other ve­hi­cle be­ing seized.

Ter­rance Mur­ray Mur­phy, 36, of Mount Uni­acke, Danny Craig Mccul­lough, 63, of Raw­don, and Graeme Creighton White, 26, of Raw­don, were ar­rested with­out in­ci­dent on April 6 and have each been charged with one count of Pos­ses­sion of Stolen Prop­erty.

Mur­phy was re­leased from po­lice cus­tody and is sched­uled to ap­pear in Shube­nacadie Pro­vin­cial Court on June 4 at 9:30 a.m. Mccul­lough and White re­main in cus­tody and are sched­uled to ap­pear in Shube­nacadie Pro­vin­cial Court on April 12, 2018.

RCMP said the in­ves­ti­ga­tion is on­go­ing be­tween East Hants and Wind­sor District RCMP and ad­di­tional charges are an­tic­i­pated.
