DECEMBER 8,9: The North Grenville Concert Choir with members of Ottawa’s Divertimento Orchestra will present Handel’s Messiah on Saturday, December 8 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at St. James Anglican Church in Kemptville. DECEMBER 9: A Candlelight Carol Service will be held at Blue Church, County Road 2, west of Prescott, at 3:30 p.m. Dress warmly and bring flashlights as there is no heat or electricity. DECEMBER 10: The next Prescott and District Lions Club Bingo will be held at the Prescott Legion on December 10. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the bingo starts at 7 p.m. Bingos run every other Monday. This bingo will include a free draw during intermission for 15 turkeys.

JANUARY 28: The Brockville and District Horticultural Society welcomes home celebrity floral designer Jennifer Harvey to its monthly speaker event at the Wesleyan Church, 33 Central Ave. W., from 7 to 9 p.m. All are welcome; $2 guest fee.
WEDNESDAYS: The Brockville Trailblazers meet every Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 for a leisurely hike on the Brock Trail. We meet at the corner of King and Gilmour streets by the Brockville Gymnastics Academy. After our hike the Friends of the Brock Trail meet for fellowship at Richard's Coffeehouse. FRIDAYS: The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 484, located at 13 Quabbin Road, hosts a seniors and friends lunch and activities on the last Friday of every month. Lunch is between 12 and 1:30 p.m. and activities are held after from 2 to 4 p.m. The next lunch is July 27.
FRIDAYS: Every Friday morning from 10-11 come and join us at St. Paul's United Church, on George Street, Prescott for coffee, a treat and fellowship. This is also a great opportunity to find some bargains at Marie's Cupboard.
