The Burin Penin­sula District RCMP and Burin Penin­sula Traf­fic Ser­vices re­sponded to a com­plaint of danger­ous driv­ing.

The po­lice were called out to Rushoon May 16 af­ter a re­port a yel­low sport type mo­tor­cy­cle was driv­ing er­rat­i­cally in the com­mu­nity.

As a re­sult of mem­bers of the pub­lic pro­vid­ing state­ments, a 23-year-old male from Rushoon has been charged with danger­ous op­er­a­tion of a mo­tor ve­hi­cle un­der the Crim­i­nal Code of Canada.

The male is sched­uled to ap­pear in Grand Bank Pro­vin­cial Court Wed­nes­day, Aug. 26.

Po­lice re­ceived a com­plaint of an at­tempted break and en­ter on By D’Rock Cafe in Burin.

Some­time be­tween 7:30 p.m. June 15 and 11 a.m. June 16, some­one at­tempted to break into the cafe caus­ing prop­erty dam­age. En­try was not gained into the busi­ness.
