The Grade 7 Art Options Group at Burin’s Donald C. Jamieson Academy remembered three former students again this year.

The group made a $300 donation to the Burin Peninsula Health Care Foundation’s ‘ Tree of Life and Memories’ Dec. 21, in memory of Siobhane Riggs, Nikkie Walsh and Aiden Stacey - all three of whom attended the school and passed away at a young age.

Teacher Margaret Ann Cleal acknowledged students at the school have completed a similar project for the past four years.

The students raised the money this year from making and selling Christmas ornaments.
