The population of St. John’s swelled by over 4,000 people Oct. 28-29 when the Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association hosted its annual Volleyfest 2011. It’s described as the largest school-based tournament in the country. The association capped participation at 176 teams, which is a record for the event. Christ the King Crusaders of Rushoon was one of 176 teams competing in the Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association’s annual ‘ Volleyfest’ tournament and the only Burin Peninsula entry.
