The Burin Peninsula District RCMP is conducting an investigation into a break and enter at Chase’s Diner in Marystown.
The incident happened sometime during the night, between midnight and 10 a.m. Dec. 19. An ATM machine, which was inside the business, was broken into and a quantity of money taken.
Police are also seeking the public’s assistance in locating a driver of a vehicle involved in a motor vehicle collision, occurring in Grand Bank.
The driver of a vehicle struck a parked car on Riff ’’s Store parking Dec. 7. The driver then spoke to the owner of the vehicle, which was struck, but did not provide any of her details.
The vehicle is described as a red, 4-door car with a yellow ‘Support our Troops’ bumper sticker. The female driver is described as being approximately 65 years old with red hair.
RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the person or persons involved in these crimes.
