Cost of propane dips

The cost of propane fell nearly five cents per litre (cpl) in the province last week.

There were also min­i­mum price de­creases for all other types of reg­u­lated pe­tro­leum prod­ucts Thurs­day, as the the Pub­lic Util­i­ties Board set new max­i­mum prices. The changes to max­i­mum fuel prices are as fol­lows: All types of gaso­line mo­tor fuel de­creased by up to 0.2 cents per litre; Diesel mo­tor fuel de­creased by up to 0.1 cpl; Fur­nace oil heat­ing fuel de­creased by 0.04 cpl; Stove oil heat­ing fuel de­creased by 0.88 cpl; and, Propane heat­ing fuel de­creased by 4.8 cpl. At the pumps on the Burin Penin­sula, gaso­line is now $1.331 a litre for reg­u­lar self-serve gaso­line, $1.361 for full ser­vice and $1.438 for diesel.

Heat­ing fu­els costs are $1.0775 for fur­nace oil, $1.0988 for stove oil and 76.6 cpl for propane.

The next sched­uled price change is this Thurs­day.
