Cost of propane dips
The cost of propane fell nearly five cents per litre (cpl) in the province last week.
There were also minimum price decreases for all other types of regulated petroleum products Thursday, as the the Public Utilities Board set new maximum prices. The changes to maximum fuel prices are as follows: All types of gasoline motor fuel decreased by up to 0.2 cents per litre; Diesel motor fuel decreased by up to 0.1 cpl; Furnace oil heating fuel decreased by 0.04 cpl; Stove oil heating fuel decreased by 0.88 cpl; and, Propane heating fuel decreased by 4.8 cpl. At the pumps on the Burin Peninsula, gasoline is now $1.331 a litre for regular self-serve gasoline, $1.361 for full service and $1.438 for diesel.
Heating fuels costs are $1.0775 for furnace oil, $1.0988 for stove oil and 76.6 cpl for propane.
The next scheduled price change is this Thursday.
