The Southern Gazette - - FRONT PAGE -

The former Hart Store location in the Peninsula Mall in Marystown won’t be empty for too much longer.

Quebec-based chain Rossy is taking over five stores in the province that were owned by the financially troubled company and plan to open the locations again in the coming months.

The four other stores include those in Grand FallsWindsor, Lewisporte, Bay Roberts and Port aux Basques, all tenants of Econo-malls Management Corporation.

The Rossy chain includes mid-sized department stores, carrying a variety of inventory from clothing and footwear to kitchenware and other household items, furniture and electronics.

Rossy, which currently has 68 stores in Quebec, Ontario and New Brunswick, intends to open up between eight and 12 stores in the province from March to July.
