Province supports Dynamic Air Shelters training program
Grand Bank-based Dynamic Air Shelters Ltd. will use a provincial government investment of $50,000 to conduct staff training and improve its operations.
Dynamic Air Shelters Ltd. will engage the services of Advanta Industrial Design Group Inc. to conduct staff training and improve the company’s design and production processes. The company will also upgrade its computer systems and drafting software program.
Kay Riggs, Vice President of Operations, Dynamic Air Shelters, explained “The investment by Innovation, Business and Rural Development enabled Dynamic Air Shelters to initiate a $250,000 program to improve design and production processes, upgrade our computer systems and software and, more importantly, allowed us to invest in our employees, our most valuable asset.
“The investment will help ensure our employees have the skills and access to the technology needed to grow and sustain the company into the future.”
Dynamic Air Shelters Ltd. manufactures promotional, industrial, first-response, and blast resistant shelters for a wide range of clients including the military and oil and gas companies. Its products are exported and deployed around the world in markets such as Asia, the Middle East, North America, and the Caribbean.
The company has 75 full and part-time employees at its Grand Bank production facility, with sales offices located in Calgary and South Carolina.

This is an investment in the future growth of the company and the local economy.”
Grand Bank District MHA Darin King said “This approval will assist with equipment upgrades and training for workers that will position Dynamic Air Shelters for continued growth in the marketplace.”
This initiative was funded through the provincial’s Workplace Skills Enhancement Program and the Business and Market Development Program.
