Another three cents for gas
Syria’s internal conflict and the threat of U.S. armed response meant a hike of three cents a litre at the gas pumps.
The Public Utilities Board set maximum prices for all regulated petroleum products in all areas of the province again Thursday.
Burin Peninsula motorists are faced with a $1.421 maximum charge for regular, self-serve gasoline. Full service is being charged $1.451 a litre while diesel has climbed almost three cents as well to $1.419.
Furnace and stove oils have both risen 1.77 cpl with residents now being charged $1.0786 a litre for furnace oil and $1.1268 for stove oil.
Propane was increased almost four cents to 79.6 cpl.
