An­other three cents for gas

Syria’s in­ter­nal con­flict and the threat of U.S. armed re­sponse meant a hike of three cents a litre at the gas pumps.

The Pub­lic Util­i­ties Board set max­i­mum prices for all reg­u­lated pe­tro­leum prod­ucts in all ar­eas of the prov­ince again Thurs­day.

Burin Penin­sula mo­torists are faced with a $1.421 max­i­mum charge for reg­u­lar, self-serve gaso­line. Full ser­vice is be­ing charged $1.451 a litre while diesel has climbed al­most three cents as well to $1.419.

Fur­nace and stove oils have both risen 1.77 cpl with res­i­dents now be­ing charged $1.0786 a litre for fur­nace oil and $1.1268 for stove oil.

Propane was in­creased al­most four cents to 79.6 cpl.
