Arrests made in Grand Bank theft
Burin Peninsula RCMP has arrested three adults in Grand Bank in connection with break-in and theft in the town Wednesday night/Thursday morning.
A 29-year-old male has been remanded into custody until tomorrow, Feb. 12, for a bail hearing.
Also a 30-year-old female and a 20-year-old male have been released from custody.
All three were arrested early Friday morning after the police executed a search warrant at a residence in Grand Bank and recovered some of the stolen liquor and cigarettes. The three were arrested in the residence.
Charges include breach of release conditions, possession of stolen property and uttering threats.
The RCMP, Grand Bank detachment, responded to a complaint of a break and enter at a business in Grand Bank, Burfitt’s Electro-Tec on Main Street, where a large quantity of liquor and cigarettes were stolen.
The investigation is continuing and further charges are possible.
