Tender call for St. Lawrence water and sewer
A public tender call has been made for water and sewer upgrades for Laurentian Avenue, Phase 3, in St. Lawrence.
Grand Bank District MHA Darin King confirmed government has given approval to the Town to proceed with a public tender call for Phase 3 - water and sewer system upgrades to Laurentian Avenue.
“This announcement reiterates our government’s commitment to assisting the town in upgrading their municipal infrastructure, and I look forward to working with the town on future projects.”
Mr. King said this project has been approved under the 90/10 cost-share arrangement announced by the provincial government last year as part of the Municipal Capital Works Program (MCM). Mayor Paul Pike called it welcome news for his town. “We have made good progress with Phases 1 and 2, and this third phase will continue to improve on that for the residents living on Laurentian Avenue.”
Since 2007, the provincial government has invested over $24 million in municipal capital works projects, which has resulted in improved municipal infrastructure throughout the District of Grand Bank.
