Strang runs personal best in Harbourfront 10K
Michelle Strang of Burin ran a personal best time of 45:02 in the Harbourfront 10K Road Race in St. John’s May 11.
It placed her fifth overall in the female category, as well as fifth in the 30-39 female age class.
Strang, who lowered her best time by nearly three minutes, was one of three members of the Mariners Athletics Running Club (MARC) who participated in the event.
Susan Brockerville of Marystown ran 50:48, placing 15th overall in the female category and third in the 5059 female age class. Gordon Brockerville, also of Marystown, ran 43:44, good for 27th overall in the male category and second in the 6069 male age class.
Marystown’s Michael Scott, running as an unattached club runner, placed sixth overall in the male category with a time of 37:08. The time put him third amongst runners in the 20-29 male age class.
