Kinsmen Club rewards Marystown student
The Kinsmen Club of Marystown is pleased to confirm a $1,000 Kin Canada Bursary for applicant Owen Mills of Marystown Central High School from the Hal Rogers Endowment Fund.
One hundred and fifty applications were received from clubs across Canada and Owen was one of 50 successful applicants. Kin Canada is one of the largest non-corporate providers of bursaries in Canada and since 1994, Kin Canada has awarded 978 bursaries for a total amount of $978,000.
The number of bursaries awarded each year is based upon donations from Kinsmen/ Kinette Clubs in the prior year.
Last year Moya Spencer was also awarded a Kin Canada Bursary, congratulations to both Moya and Owen.
