Welcome to Kin Corner

Meeting the community’s greatest needs

The Southern Gazette - - Front Page - BY DENISINE NOLAN

In the Kin organization many awards can be won including personal, national, recognition or Cystic Fibrosis Canada Awards, just to mention a few.

Congratulations to our Kinette Club of Marystown for winning the Outstanding Boake Efficiency Award. National, zone and district requirements must be met to qualify for this award. We must have all our forms, reports and dues filed on schedule, and have representation at district meetings such as the fall leadership conference.

In September we held our first meeting of the season. We hold one meeting the first Sunday of each month to discuss any club business that arises, upcoming fundraisers, and our budget to ensure we’re meeting our commitments to the community and other organizations.

We always start our meetings off with our Kin song, which begins with “Here we are together once again. Happy in a family of Kin.” And that’s how we feel, and want all our members to feel when they decide to join our Kin family.

We as Kin have a commitment to several organizations to which we donate annually, the breakfast program in both school systems in Burin and Marystown being just two of these organizations.

If you are looking for a way to make a difference in your community, please email me at [email protected]mail.com. Be more than a volunteer. Join a family of Kin. New members always welcome

Fellow Kin Margaret Ann Cleal makes the club’s annual donation to the Donald C. Jamison Academy breakfast program.
