It was anything but a winter wonderland during the annual Marystown Kinsmen Christmas Parade held on Dec. 9.

However the lack of snow did now take away from the excitement of the crowd as they watched the festively decorated floats make their way along the parade route.

Spectators were treated to parade regulars such as the Marystown Volunteer Fire Department, the cadets of RCSCC 126 Mary Rose, Brighter Futures and a host of others.

The big guy himself even made an appearance towards the end of the parade, stopping from time to time to talk to the children and wish then and their families a Merry Christ- mas.

Children along the parade route were excited to see that Santa had made his way to Marystown to take part in the annual parade.

Members of the Marystown Sparks unit made their way along the route in this emoji decorated float.

The 5th Marystown Beavers and Cub Scouts prepared for the parade by making hand-made decorations that they attached to their float.

Fire Chief Alex Coady was at the controls of The Elf Express as it made its way along the parade route in Marystown.
