Back­hoe dam­aged

Lo­cal busi­ness owner had dam­age done to a piece of equip­ment, he is look­ing for in­for­ma­tion.

A Burin Penin­sula busi­ness­man is of­fer­ing a re­ward for in­for­ma­tion about the theft of the dig­ging bucket from a back­hoe.

Ac­cord­ing to a post on his Face­book page, Mike Mal­lay, owner of Mal­lay’s In­dus­trial Ser­vices Ltd. in Marys­town, says his em­ploy­ees were un­able to find the back­hoe when they went to work in St. Lawrence May 24.

Mal­lay in­di­cated, some­time overnight, the back­hoe was stolen and driven into a wooded area where it was aban­doned. The bucket was re­moved and taken, Mal­lay said.

This back­hoe, be­long­ing to Mal­lays In­dus­trial Ser­vices Ltd., was stolen in St. Lawrence and aban­doned in a wooden area overnight on May 23-24. The bucket was re­moved and taken.
