Woman put car off road near Whitbourne, threatened police, RCMP say
The Whitbourne RCMP said a woman put her car off the road after driving impaired east of Whitbourne last week and then threatened police.
Tuesday, Aug. 28, around 11:40 p.m., Whitbourne RCMP received a complaint of a single-vehicle crash on the Trans Canada Highway.
Police attended the scene and found a vehicle in the median. A 35-year-old woman was arrested for impaired operation.
Breath samples were obtained nearly twice the legal limit and while in custody, the woman threatened to harm police, the RCMP say.
She now faces charges of impaired operation, impaired operation with blood alcohol over 80 mgs and uttering threats.
She will be in court Oct. 31.
