Los Angeles based producer Jeff Bova, who was on the Burin Peninsula to attend the Live at Heart Global Music Business Conference recently, took some time out of his busy schedule to speak with students at the Marystown School of Music.
Josh Parsons from the school of music said he was speaking with Bova leading up to the conference.
“We were discussing what we were going to do with the kids for a while,” he said.
Parsons said Bova came to the class and told the students about his experiences working with artists such as Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton and Katy Perry, just to name a few.
“He showed some rough cuts of when he was (working) with Katy Perry for the song ‘Waking up in Vegas’” Parsons said. “He had it on his computer, the actual recording of working with her, and showed the kids what it sounded like (before) and then what it sounded like after it was produced and after it was edited and mastered.”
