Grand Bank trio stoked to play ma­jor U.S. fes­ti­val

For Grand Bank trio Skid­der­pup a per­for­mance dur­ing the Live at Heart Global Mu­sic Busi­ness Con­fer­ence has landed them a gig at the world’s largest mu­sic fes­ti­val.

Chad Grandy, gui­tarist and vo­cal­ist, said their per­for­mance on Oct. 10 was a life-chang­ing ex­pe­ri­ence for the band.

The trio was ap­proached by David Sil­baugh, tal­ent buyer for Sum­mer­fest, who of­fered them a slot in the 11-day mu­sic fes­ti­val in Mil­wau­kee, Wis­con­sin.

“Be­ing in­vited to Sum­mer­fest is an ab­so­lute dream come true,” Grandy told The South­ern Gazette. “We are beyond grate­ful for this amaz­ing op­por­tu­nity.”

Dubbed the “World’s Largest Mu­sic Fes­ti­val” the Sum­mer­fest event books over 800 artists in nearly all gen­res, the fes­ti­val fea­tures in­ter­na­tional head­lin­ing acts, such as James Tay­lor, Bon­nie Raitt, Florida Ge­or­gia Line and Jour­ney.

The fes­ti­val also show­cases emerg­ing artists, past artists fea­tured in­clude X Am­bas­sadors, Walk the Moon, and The Mag­nettes.

The dates for Sum­mer­fest 2019 have not yet been an­nounced.
