Fire destroys Little Bay home
Marystown area man without a home after weekend fire
A man from Little Bay, near Marystown, is without a home after fire destroyed his house on the weekend.
Fire Chief Alex Coady told The Southern Gazette on Monday, Oct. 22, that a call came into the station on Saturday, Oct 20, at 1:22 p.m.
When fire fighters arrived on the scene, Coady said the home was fully engulfed.
“Fire was coming through the windows, doors and roof (of the home),” he said.
A pick-up truck belonging to the home owner was also destroyed in the blaze.
A member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police detachment in Marystown confirmed there were no injuries as a result of the fire.
An investigation is on-going.
