Un­beaten Midget AA Bron­cos reach dou­ble dig­its

The Swift Cur­rent Abbey Re­sources Bron­cos won all three games last week as their win­ning streak reached 10 games to open the Saskatchewan Midget AA Hockey League reg­u­lar sea­son.

Wed­nes­day, the Bron­cos de­feated the Notre Dame Ar­gos 5-3 to move to 8-0.

Ry­land Hor­nung led the Bron­cos with two goals, while Cash Arntsen and Brock Oberle each regis­tered a goal and an as­sist. John Priela also scored, while Kaden Floberg, Jack­son Sit­ter, Beau Lar­son, Levi Brewer, and Quinn Pate­naude all added as­sists. Justin Dueck earned the win in goal to im­prove to 4-0 on the sea­son.

Satur­day, the Bron­cos scored twice on the power play in a 5-2 win over the vis­it­ing Regina Rangers. Lar­son led the Bron­cos with a hat trick, while Arntsen added a goal and two as­sists.

Hor­nung also scored, while Ryan Mccleary, Priela, Levi Lamotte, Oberle, and Quinn Pate­naude all added as­sists. Brad Nyen earned the win as the Bron­cos out­shot the Rangers 36-20.

Sun­day, the Bron­cos edged the Regina Vics 1-0 in a show­down be­tween un­beaten teams. Lar­son scored the only goal on the power play in the sec­ond pe­riod with an as­sist from Nathan Mcinnis. Dueck made 27 saves in the shutout.

The Bron­cos im­proved to 10-0, while the Vics fell to 6-1-0.

The Bron­cos are at home again this week­end to host the Regina Cap­i­tals on Satur­day at 7:45 p.m. and Sun­day at 12 p.m. at Fairview West Arena.
