Bronco Strong night raised over $28,000
The Swift Current Broncos were able to generate an over $28,000 donation to a quartet of causes as a result of Bronco Strong Night on Friday, November 2.
The fundraiser was a special evening in support of the charities during the Broncos game against the visiting Lethbridge Hurricanes.
Swift Current wore special Bronco Strong jerseys for the game in order to commemorate the special bond which exists between the WHL Broncos and the Humboldt Broncos of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. The jerseys were designed by Broncos alumni forward Taylor Vause, and all game worn sweaters were auctioned off for charity.
As a result of that jersey auction and other fundraising initiatives, the evening generated the following donation totals: STARS Air Ambulance $23,500, The Fav Foundation $1,750, Hockey Gives Blood $1,750, and The Saskatchewan Brain Injury Association $1,750.
