Bronco Strong night raised over $28,000

The Swift Cur­rent Bron­cos were able to gen­er­ate an over $28,000 dona­tion to a quar­tet of causes as a re­sult of Bronco Strong Night on Fri­day, Novem­ber 2.

The fundraiser was a spe­cial evening in sup­port of the char­i­ties dur­ing the Bron­cos game against the vis­it­ing Leth­bridge Hur­ri­canes.

Swift Cur­rent wore spe­cial Bronco Strong jer­seys for the game in or­der to com­mem­o­rate the spe­cial bond which ex­ists be­tween the WHL Bron­cos and the Hum­boldt Bron­cos of the Saskatchewan Ju­nior Hockey League. The jer­seys were de­signed by Bron­cos alumni for­ward Tay­lor Vause, and all game worn sweaters were auc­tioned off for char­ity.

As a re­sult of that jer­sey auc­tion and other fundrais­ing ini­tia­tives, the evening gen­er­ated the fol­low­ing dona­tion to­tals: STARS Air Am­bu­lance $23,500, The Fav Foun­da­tion $1,750, Hockey Gives Blood $1,750, and The Saskatchewan Brain In­jury As­so­ci­a­tion $1,750.
