Midget AA Bron­cos con­tinue in­cred­i­ble start

The Swift Cur­rent Abbey Re­sources Bron­cos added three vic­to­ries to their in­cred­i­ble start to the Saskatchewan Midget AA Hockey League sea­son last week to move to 16-0 on the cam­paign.

Thurs­day, the Bron­cos won their 14th con­sec­u­tive game with a 5-0 vic­tory over the host Notre Dame Hounds in Wil­cox.

The Bron­cos scored twice on the power play and killed off four shorthanded sit­u­a­tions. Justin Dueck made 21 saves in his sec­ond shutout of the sea­son.

Levi Brewer paced the at­tack with a goal and two as­sists, while Ry­land Hor­nung added a goal and an as­sist. Beau Lar­son, Levi Lam­otte, and Cash Arntsen also scored. Nathan Mcinnis, John Priela, Davis Hunter, and Brock Oberle all added as­sists.

Satur­day, the Bron­cos fin­ished three-for-five on the power play in a 6-2 win over the host Regina Vics.

Lam­otte, Quinn Pate­naude, and Hor­nung all fin­ished with a goal and two as­sists. Lar­son scored twice while Cash Arntsen and Oberle each added two as­sists.

Priela also scored and Brewer added a sin­gle helper. Brad Nyen picked up the win as the Bron­cos out­shot the Vics 37-29.

Sun­day, the Bron­cos edged the vis­it­ing Notre Dame Ar­gos 3-1. Hor­nung, Arntsen, and Lar­son all scored. Ryan Mc­cleary, Lar­son, Brewer, and Oberle added as­sists.

Dueck earned the win as the Bron­cos out­shot the Ar­gos 43-20.

The Bron­cos are on the road Fri­day to visit the Moose Jaw War­riors.
