Tae Kwon Do ath­letes finds suc­cess at Provin­cials

Eleven mem­bers of Swift Cur­rent Chris­tian Tae Kwon Do par­tic­i­pated in the Saskatchewan World Taek­wondo Fed­er­a­tion Provin­cial tour­na­ment on Novem­ber 24 in York­ton, bring­ing home 15 medals in spar­ring and poom­sae (forms).

“We are su­per proud of ev­ery­one. They have been train­ing hard for months and it’s great to see that their hard work paid off,” said Head In­struc­tor, Gary Voy­sey.

Com­peti­tors from across the prov­ince met in York­ton for poom­sae and spar­ring com­pe­ti­tions. Com­pet­i­tive cat­e­gories are di­vided by age, weight and belt rank. The fol­low­ing in­di­vid­u­als re­ceived medals in their di­vi­sions:

Spar­ring

Gold - Cal­lie Ebner, Austin Evans, Quin­ten Hir, Tyneka Hir.

Sil­ver – Anna Voy­sey, Jaxon Har­tog, Jesse Hir, Taryn Le­gault.

Bronze - Jor­dyn Hir, Brook­lyn Hir.

Poom­sae

Sil­ver – Ash­lyn Evans, Austin Evans, Brook­lyn Hir.

Bronze - Jaxon Har­tog, Taryn Le­gault.
