Bron­cos make an­other deal with Sil­ver­tips

The Swift Cur­rent Bron­cos con­tin­ued to re­shape their ros­ter with an eye on the fu­ture as they traded vet­eran for­ward Max Pat­ter­son to the Everett Sil­ver­tips on Mon­day.

In re­turn, the Bron­cos will re­ceive a fourth-round pick in the 2020 Western Hockey League Ban­tam Draft and prospect Daw­son Springer.

Pat­ter­son will join for­mer team­mates Sah­van Khaira and Ar­tyom Min­ulin with the Sil­ver­tips, who the Bron­cos de­feated in the WHL Cham­pi­onship se­ries last sea­son.

The 6’6’’ for­ward is tied for the team lead with eight goals and leads the team with 11 as­sists and 19 points in 27 games dur­ing his sea­son with the Bron­cos. Af­ter be­ing traded from the Koote­nay Ice to the Bron­cos, Pat­ter­son posted 24 points while ap­pear­ing in all 72 games last sea­son. He added five goals and two as­sists in 26 play­off games.

Springer, 16, is cur­rently lead­ing the Prince Al­bert Min­tos with 18 goals and 25 points in 21 Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League games. He is listed at 5’9’’, 140 pounds.
