Burnham Community 4-H Club November report
November was a good month for the Burnham 4-H Club! We started it off with our monthly general meeting, on November 6, where we discussed club business and made plans for the coming months.
The next day, our 4-U group served a meal at Fresh Start. Each 4-U family prepared a part of the delicious dinner: roast chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, cooked carrots, homemade buns, coleslaw, and fresh baked goodies for dessert. Most of the ingredients we used were fresh and locally grown. Parents dished up the food (and stayed on top of the dishes), while the club members brought the plates out to the patrons. About 40 members of the community turned out. Since we had prepared for a larger crowd, we had quite a lot of food left over, which we were able to share with folks at Mental Health – win-win!
On November 30th, 4-U gathered at the Stolhandske-dale farm for a busy afternoon of scrapbooking. We had lots of fun organizing the first three pages of our record books and prettied them up with fancy paper, stickers and other embellishments. We had a little snack at the end, and even had some time to play in the snow.
We are looking forward to our upcoming Christmas party and wish you all a very safe and happy holiday season.
