The federal and provincial initiative funding program for Saskatchewan agriculture, The Canadian Agricultural Partnership (CAP) is now underway over a five–year term. One division of CAP, Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change, can provide funding to Saskatchewan producers to implement various beneficial management practices (BMPS). These are included in the Farm Stewardship (FSP) and Farm and Ranch Water Infrastructure (FRWIP) Programs.

If you are thinking of spring projects over the winter keep in mind that CAP is available and also technical assistance that you can access through your local watershed stewardship group or association. Based on watershed boundaries, the groups cover the province and can offer technical assistance for the CAP program at no charge.
