Cool off with a summer photo challenge

-

Throughout the summer, Western Counties Regional Library is presenting photo challenges with, literally, cool prizes to be won.

Every two weeks, the library posts a new photo challenge, asking participants to tag the library in Facebook or Instagram posts, or send the library photos by Facebook messenger or email to their local branch.

The library is offering a prize for each challenge consisting of a $20 gift certificate for the ice cream parlour of the winner's choice.

Until July 24, the photo challenge is the Library Bookstack challenge, asking people to display their latest library haul with a Bookstack photo. From July 25 to Aug. 7, it's the Beach Read Challenge. What's your favourite beach read?

From Aug. 8 to 21, people can get creative with the Bookface challenge. Match a portrait on a book cover to your face, and you have a Bookface.

The final challenge is Read with a Friend from Aug. 22 to 31. Participants can snap a photo with, or tag, a pal with whom you love to read. The challenge is open to people 13 and older who reside in Digby, Shelburne and Yarmouth counties.
