‘We’re going to live in Friday night’s game’

One area Johnstone would love to see St. Catharines improve is on the power play. The Falcons are 11th overall at 18.5 per cent.

The Falcons topped the Corvairs 4-1 in the lone meeting between the teams this season.

“We simplified that game and didn’t turn the puck over much,” Johnstone said. “We kept them from getting odd-man rushes on us and getting up any steam on us and forechecki­ng us hard. That’s going to be the plan again. We just have to get pucks past them and be pushing them rather than them coming down on us. We want to control the puck.”

The Falcons and Corvairs meet again Sunday, Nov. 6 in Caledonia.
