Rob­bery sus­pect faces weapons, drug charges for De­cem­ber crimes

A sus­pect has been ar­rested nearly a month after a woman was as­saulted and robbed near the in­ter­sec­tion of Page and Queen­ston streets, in St. Catharines.

Ni­a­gara Re­gional Po­lice say the ar­rest was made as a re­sult of their in­ves­ti­ga­tion into a re­port of a woman who sus­tained mi­nor in­juries and had per­sonal prop­erty stolen at about 10:25 a.m., Dec. 15.

At about 7:45 a.m. Thurs­day, po­lice ar­rested Jhon Flores, 23, of St.Catharines, charg­ing him with rob­bery.

Po­lice say at the time of his ar­rest, the sus­pect was car­ry­ing sus­pected il­le­gal drugs as well as an im­i­ta­tion firearm con­cealed in his waist­band — lead­ing to ad­di­tional charges in­clud­ing sev­eral weapons-re­lated charges, and pos­ses­sion of prop­erty ob­tained by crime un­der $5,000, pos­ses­sion of co­caine and crys­tal metham­phetamine for the pur­pose of traf­fick­ing, and breach of pro­ba­tion.


Ni­a­gara Re­gional Po­lice re­leased this im­age of a sus­pect wanted after a Dec. 15 rob­bery.
