Jack­son-Triggs brings con­cert se­ries on­line with iHeartRa­dio

Even with its sum­mer con­cert sea­son in jeop­ardy be­cause of COVID-19, Jack­son-Triggs is serv­ing up plenty of mu­sic this month.

The Ni­a­gara-on-the-Lake win­ery has teamed with iHeartRa­dio for a se­ries of livestream con­certs called The Liv­ing Room Ses­sions which started May 1. The eight shows can be seen at iheartra­dio.ca.

The se­ries kicked off with Eli­jah Woods and Jamie Fine on Fri­day and con­tin­ued Mon­day with Win­ter­sleep and Tues­day with Karl Wolf.

Sub­se­quent shows will fea­ture Jeremy Fisher Wed­nes­day, Neon Dreams Thurs­day, Char­lotte Cardin May 11, Clas­si­fied May 12 and Mt. Joy May 18. All shows start at 4 p.m. Many of the acts have per­formed in the past for Jack­sonTriggs’ sum­mer con­cert se­ries, which started in 2002. The win­ery plans for a con­densed ver­sion of the se­ries this year, with a ticket launch de­layed un­til at least mid-May.

With the on­line se­ries, Jack­sonTriggs has also do­nated

$10,000 to the Cana­dian Red

Cross to sup­port front-line work­ers.

“Our Ni­a­gara es­tate am­phithe­atre has been an ad­mired venue for the en­joy­ment and celebratio­n of Cana­dian mu­sic,” said An­drea Hunt, se­nior vi­cepres­i­dent of Jack­son-Triggs op­er­a­tor Arterra Wines. “We’re hon­oured to con­tinue to sup­port and bring peo­ple to­gether in a new way, that also helps Cana­di­ans in need of sup­port.”

The win­ery’s con­cert se­ries is held in its 575-seat open air am­phithe­atre, where more than 150 artists have per­formed over the past two decades.
