It’s restaurant week on Lundy’s Lane
The Lundy’s Lane Business Improvement Area is hosting its first spring Restaurant Week.
The two-week-long event began last Thursday. Until May 5, more than a dozen restaurants are offering special two- and three-course price-fixed lunch and dinner menus, or special dishes.
“From comfort food staples all the way to internationally-inspired offerings from Chinese to Thai dishes, there is definitely something to suit everyone’s tastes,” said David Jovanovic, project administrator for the BIA.
“The diversity and quality of restaurants on the Lane is exceptional.”
The BIA has been hosting Restaurant Week in the winter and fall since 2015.
The last one was in February/ March 2020, right before the COVID-19 pandemic began.
The BIA has decided to add a spring event this year, as restaurateurs are “excited to see people in person again,” said Jovanovic.
“People keep coming back because they love the hospitality, and our chefs and local business owners are more than happy to deliver that experience,” Jovanovic said.
He said patrons “love” the opportunity to try out different cuisines while taking in the “sights and sounds of this developing corner of the city.”
“We have a wonderful combination of established and new restaurateurs taking part this year,” he said.
He said Restaurant Week is meant to “celebrate the quality of eateries and the high-level of chefs that we’ve been able to attract over the years, and the growing evolution of the restaurant sector on Lundy’s Lane.”
