FIELDING, Pauline Dee (Nee Collins)

-

November 2, 1935 - March 2, 2024

With deep sadness, we wish to announce that Pauline passed away at Crown Ridge Place in Trenton after a long battle with cancer. She was a loving wife of 70 years to Clifford Fielding, mother to Michael (Brenda) and Cathy Ketcheson. Loving grandmother to Jason, Ryan, Shannon and Kristen. Devoted great grandmother to Ainsley, Ewan, Alice Jane, Anna Pauline and Cole. Predeceased by her parents Edwin and Daisy Collins, daughter Cathy and brother Edwin. Born and raised in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Pauline met and married her husband Cliff, a pilot in the RCAF. Together they raised a family while moving frequently to various military bases in Canada. Pauline embraced the life of a military spouse, supporting her husband through many postings and making countless friends along the way. Upon settling in Trenton in the early 70s,

Pauline decided to take a real estate course and for the next 20 years she sold real estate in the area. In 1981, after moving to Rednersville Road in Prince Edward County, she and Cliff immersed themselves in a quasi-rural life on their beautiful waterfront property. Pauline was very social and made friends easily through her involvement as a member and volunteer in the local Albury Church. She enjoyed and participated for years in several bridge clubs, book clubs and quilting groups. Pauline loved children and especially enjoyed the company of her grandchildren who were frequent visitors to the property on Rednersville Road. The family will receive friends and loved ones at Albury Church, Ameliasburgh for a service at 1:00 pm, Saturday March 9, Reverend Brad Ford officiating. Cremation and burial at a later date. Pauline's family wish to thank the medical and nursing staff at Crown Ridge Place, Belleville General Hospital, Trenton Memorial Hospital, Seasons Retirement Home and Dr Matthew Steffler for the wonderful care provided over many difficult months. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Trenton Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
