Snow to end this af­ter­noon

En­vi­ron­ment Canada said in a spe­cial weather state­ment is­sued Fri­day that snow was ex­pected to per­sist into Sat­ur­day. To­tal snow­fall ac­cu­mu­la­tions of 10 to 15 cen­time­tres are pos­si­ble by Sat­ur­day morn­ing. The snow be­gan fall­ing on Fri­day af­ter­noon, as En­vi­ron­ment Canada pre­dicted. Light snow will con­tinue through Sat­ur­day morn­ing and come to an end Sat­ur­day af­ter­noon. The snow is the re­sult of a low­pres­sure sys­tem that tracked into the area, the agency said. Peo­ple should con­tinue to mon­i­tor alerts and fore­casts is­sued by En­vi­ron­ment Canada. To re­port se­vere weather, send an email to ONs­ or tweet re­ports us­ing #ONS­torm. Mean­while, the high tem­per­a­ture for Sat­ur­day will be -4 de­grees C, with winds gust­ing up to 40 km and hour at times. Sun­day will be partly sunny with a high of -5.
