Share your feedback on strategic plan

The Sudbury Star - - LOCAL -

City council continues to set its priorities and is seeking public input on the draft strategic plan. In February, residents were asked to share their priorities for the future of Greater Sudbury. Council participated in a planning workshop in March and identified vision, mission, values and strategic priorities and initiatives to support those priorities. Based on that work, a draft of the strategic plan has been developed. Residents are now invited to review the draft plan and share their feedback. A copy of the plan is available at overtoyou.greatersud, where comments will be collected until May 28. If you would like a printed copy, request one at any city library or citizen service centre. Feedback will be considered by council in late June, when a revised draft of the strategic plan will be presented. Strategic planning is used to set priorities, focus energy and resources, strengthen operations, and ensure employees and other stakeholders are working toward common goals. It establishes agreements around intended outcomes or results, and can assess and adjust an organization’s direction in response to a changing environment.
