U Sports quarterbacks get CFL camp invites
Hec Crighton Trophy winner Adam Sinagra headlines the
10 U Sports quarterbacks who will be attending CFL training camps this year. The University of Calgary star will participate in the Edmonton Eskimos’ camp this year after working out with the Grey Cup-champion Calgary Stampeders in 2018. It’s part of the league’s Canadian quarterback internship program that began in 2010 and became mandatory in 2012. It allows Canadian quarterbacks to participate in practice drills as well as team and positional meetings. Sinagra will return to Calgary this fall but is eligible for the 2020 CFL Canadian college draft. Also attending CFL training camps are Acadia’s Hunter Guenard (B.C.), Saskatchewan’s Mason Nyhus (Calgary), Manitoba’s Des Catellier (Saskatchewan), Ottawa’s Sawyer Buettner (Winnipeg), Waterloo’s Tre Ford (Hamilton), Toronto’s Clay Sequeira (Toronto), St. Francis’s Bailey Wasdal (Ottawa) as well as Bishop’s Maxime Bouffard and McGill’s Dimitrios Sinodinos (both with Montreal).
