U Sports quar­ter­backs get CFL camp in­vites

Hec Crighton Tro­phy win­ner Adam Si­na­gra head­lines the

10 U Sports quar­ter­backs who will be at­tend­ing CFL train­ing camps this year. The Uni­ver­sity of Calgary star will par­tic­i­pate in the Edmonton Eski­mos’ camp this year af­ter work­ing out with the Grey Cup-cham­pion Calgary Stam­ped­ers in 2018. It’s part of the league’s Cana­dian quar­ter­back in­tern­ship pro­gram that be­gan in 2010 and be­came mandatory in 2012. It al­lows Cana­dian quar­ter­backs to par­tic­i­pate in prac­tice drills as well as team and po­si­tional meet­ings. Si­na­gra will re­turn to Calgary this fall but is el­i­gi­ble for the 2020 CFL Cana­dian col­lege draft. Also at­tend­ing CFL train­ing camps are Aca­dia’s Hunter Gue­nard (B.C.), Saskatchewan’s Ma­son Ny­hus (Calgary), Man­i­toba’s Des Catel­lier (Saskatchewan), Ottawa’s Sawyer Buet­tner (Win­nipeg), Waterloo’s Tre Ford (Hamil­ton), Toronto’s Clay Se­queira (Toronto), St. Fran­cis’s Bai­ley Was­dal (Ottawa) as well as Bishop’s Maxime Bouf­fard and McGill’s Dim­itrios Sin­odi­nos (both with Mon­treal).
