Kendo is a mod­ern-day mar­tial art that de­scends from the tra­di­tional swords­man­ship used by the samu­rai, who were the mil­i­tary no­bil­ity of me­dieval and early-mod­ern Ja­pan. The eighth an­nual fes­ti­val, or­ga­nized by the In­clu­sive Com­mu­ni­ties Com­mit­tee of Grey and Bruce, fea­tured a va­ri­ety of ac­tiv­i­ties aimed at celebrating di­ver­sity in Grey-Bruce.
