Bluffs needs change

The Sun Times (Owen Sound) - - OPINION -

Having lived in Georgian Bluffs for the past 13 years I am hoping to see a refresh on Georgian Bluffs council.

I was happy to see that some individuals still make the effort to meet the people whom they hope to represent. Mayoral candidate Scott Catto and councillor hopeful Grant Pringle came to our door to meet us. This is the first time anyone in 13 years has visited our home. Sending a flyer delivered by someone else or putting an over abundance of signs up may sway those who go by name recognition only but I hope not.

Perhaps some have been sitting too long on their laurels and some fresh blood is needed to move the township forward. I checked with a long time resident who has lived on my road for 34 years. Only once in that time did a councillor attend their home at voting time.

No wonder we don’t seem to be moving forward. Now’s the time for change. May the best person win “for the people”.
