There’s no shortage of great ideas for decorating your home using salvaged or recycled objects. Here are three simple projects that are sure to add an original touch to your decor.

A wok in the garden

If you have an old wok turn it into a great planter. After painting it, line the bottom with dried moss. Place upon the moss some small stones for drainage and then fill the wok with soil. Now plant whatever you want in it.

Well-dressed cushions

Do you have some fabric cushions that are faded or have outdated patterns or colours? Cover them with fabric from clothes you no longer wear.

Door handles

Wondering what to do with old door knobs/handles? Screw a few into a nice wooden plank and attach it to a wall in the entrance hall. You can use it for hanging coats, bags, scarves, umbrellas, etc.
