Sean Jamal Dunn, 26, and Trevor Gary Ryland, 24, both of St. John’s, appeared in court Thursday on one count each of possessing cocaine for the purpose of traffickin­g.

The men were charged after a drug bust on Mayor Avenue in early June. Both had their cases set over to Aug. 20 to enter a plea.

••• Lailynd Vince Grandbois, 31, of no fixed address, appeared in court Thursday on several charges, including assault with a weapon, leaving the scene of an accident, possession of a stolen vehicle, and charges of failure to attend court and comply with probation. He wil be back in court Aug. 10.

••• William A. Grouchy, 28, of Mount Pearl and Jonathon Patrick Hurley, 22, of Mount Pearl appeared in court to face robbery and drug charges, as well as failures to comply with probation orders.

Grouchy is due back in court Wednesday for a bail hearing, while Hurley’s next court appearance is scheduled for July 30.

••• Bradley Wayne Benmore, 31, of Harbour Main appeared in court on charges of breaking and entering, unlawfully possessing a break-in instrument and theft under $5,000.

He’s also charged with impaired driving and driving while disqualifi­ed. His next court appearance is Aug. 20.

••• Charles Maxwell Patey, 58, had several charges before the court Thursday, including charges of failure to comply with conditions of an undertakin­g or recognizan­ce, as well as a charge of theft under $5,000.

The matters were put over to Aug. 28.
