Passed peacefully away on Friday, July 12, 2013, James (Jim) Francis Martin Sr., age 84 years. Predeceased by daughter Judy Crotty; granddaughter Ellen Martin; parents: Jack and Fanny Martin; sister Carmel Stevenson; brothers: Gerard and Larry; brother-in-law Allan Healey. Left to celebrate his life, his loving wife Catherine ( Healey); sons: Robert (Miriam MacLeod), Greg (Marlene), Jim (Lyn), Bernard (Heather) and Dennis; daughter Brenda (Dan); son-inlaw John Crotty; sixteen grandchildren; brothers: Alex (Mary - deceased), John (Emma), Steve (Mary); sisters: Madonna Peterson (Stan - deceased), Marie Jurgens (Jerry), Geraldine Russell (Cyril); Annette Coultas (Bud), sisters-in-law: Bernice Martin, Peggy Martin, Margaret DiBiase, Frances Healey, Barbara Casey (Jack), Eileen Clark (Glenn), Clara Healey; brothers-in-law: Ron Stevenson, John Healey (Joan), Jim Healey, Paul Healey (M’Elaine), David Healey (Rose); aunts: Marg Manning, Sister Marion Grace, Ruth Manning and uncle Kevin Manning; l oving nephews and nieces, and many relatives and friends. Jim was deeply loved for his kindness, humor and constant encouragement. Resting at Cauls Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Monday f rom 7 - 9 p. m. and Tuesday from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Mass on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Church with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in James’ memory may be made to the Autism Society or the Cerebral Palsy Association.
