Sept. 22 and 25. The number of women going into so-called “traditionally male” trades has been increasing steadily. Karen Walsh, from the Office to Advance Women Apprentices, has been instrumental in shortening the frustratingly long time between graduation to apprenticeship opportunities for those women, which was difficult for them and, also, for the many consumers awaiting the assistance of a qualified tradesperson.
