The Wonderful 101 Wii U/$59.99/Available Now An alien force known as the Geathjerk have made it their personal mission to annihilate the Earth and all of its inhabitants. With each of their prior attacks, they’ve been thwarted by the Centinels, a secret global defense organization with an army of 100 heroes in its employ. Now, as the Geathjerk threaten Earth with their largest attack force yet, a new hero is needed to unite “The Wonderful 100,” unleash their true power and change the bleak fate of the world once and for all.
“The Wonderful 101” is an action game with an isometric view that focuses on battling bad guys and solving puzzles in an attempt to save the planet. The primary feature of the game centers around the main characters’ Unite Morphs, which form the horde of heroes into weapons such as Wonder Blue’s giant sword or Wonder Pink’s grappling whip. To execute these special transformations, players will need to draw shapes that represent the desired weapon using the Wii U game pad’s touch screen. For gamers who enjoy playing with friends, local multiplayer is available, allowing up to five heroes to combat evil together.
Most action games that hit the store shelves are usually marketed to very specific age groups, whether it’s M-Rated bullet fests or simplistic titles for the incredibly young. With cute and cuddly protagonists equipped with over-the-top weapons, gamers of all ages are sure to fall in love with “The Wonderful 101.”

Teammate intelligence has been upgraded as well, not only increasing the general intelligence of the computer-controlled players but granting them the ability to create defensive pressure, track runs and create goalscoring opportunities.
