Teams selected for Atlantic and national competitio­ns

At the conclusion of the 2014 Royal LePage Provincial Championsh­ips, the teams that will represent the province in regional and national competitio­ns were announced.

In the men’s divisions, Matthew Tibbo and Michael Tibbo of Blomidon Golf Club, along with Jonathan Hunt of Clovelly, will make up the amateur team.

The mid-amateur men’s team will consist of Eddie Bearns of Bally Country Club, Matthew Hackett from Grande Meadows and Chuck Conley from Bally Haly. In the senior men’s division, the team has Wayne Ford from Blomidon, along with Ray Walsh and Bob Hoyles from Grande Meadows. Walter Crotty of Bally Haly will represent the province in the super senior division.

In the women’s divisions, Erin Lundrigan of Bally Haly, Allison Crawford of Clovelly and Kathleen Jean from Harmon Seaside Links makeup the ladies’ amateur team.

In the newly created mid-masters division, as well as the ladies’ senior division, the province will be represente­d by Janet Mills from Clovelly, Kathleen Jean from Harmon Seaside Links and Jan Peters of Bally Haly, who also will compete in the super senior Division.

The teams will compete at the 2014 Atlantic championsh­ips Aug. 14-17 at Bell Bay Golf Club in Baddeck, N.S.

The teams will also have the opportunit­y to represent the province at the Canadian national amateur, mid-amateur and senior championsh­ips scheduled in the coming months.
