‘Doctor Who’ coming to St. John’s for Avalon Expo
Avalon Expo has announced a highly prominent special guest will come to St. John’s next year for Avalon Expo 3 —Doctor Who will attend the event Aug. 25-27, 2017.
Actually, he’s the sixth doctor of “Doctor Who” fame — Colin Baker, who portrayed the doctor in the long-running popular TV series “Doctor Who” from 1984-86 and since then in a number of specials and radio plays.
In addition to portraying “Doctor Who,” Baker has had a long and varied acting career.
This is the third guest announced for Avalon Expo, after two “Sailor Moon” guests — Linda Ballantyne, who voiced classic “Sailor Moon,” and Katie Griffin, who voiced classic “Sailor Mars.”
Avalon Expo is a sci-fi, fantasy and comics convention that has been held every year in late August in St. John’s since 2015.
