Summer slushie slurpers
Amidst the warm sunshine and temperatures reaching up into the high 20s on Thursday afternoon, these two sisters enjoy a super duper twister slushie from Needs Convenience on Military Road. Hailey Ouellette, 4, (left) and Sarah Ouellette, 8, are visiting the capital city from Saskatoon, Sask., with their parents, Julia and Donovan Ouellette. Their mom is originally a Newfoundlander, a Forsey who was born in St. John’s and raised in Grand Falls before moving to the mainland a number of years ago. They were out for an afternoon in Bannerman Park before leaving St. John’s later in the afternoon to make their way back home to the Prairies.
