Atlantic Light takes on ‘Guys and Dolls’
The romantic comedy “Guys and Dolls” will be Atlantic Light Theatre’s sixth production — after sell-out performances of “Les Miserables,” “Spamalot,” “Sister Act” and “Billy Elliot” — since 2014.
Directed by Jacinta Mackeygraham, “Guys and Dolls” features music and lyrics by Frank Loesser, and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows.
Douglas Vaughan will direct show tunes such as “Sit Down, You’re Rocking the Boat” and “Luck Be A Lady.”
The show will run from Feb. 1-3, 2018, and tickets go on sale Nov. 1.
In addition to “Guys and Dolls”, Atlantic Light Theatre is also rehearsing “A Call to Arms,” an original Newfoundland musical set during the First World War that will premiere Sept. 29-30 at Holy Heart Theatre.
The musical was written by “Come From Away” actress Petrina Bromley, and tells a classic story of love, family, friendship and sacrifice.
