Smoothing sidewalk
Derek Power, a certified Red Seal carpenter along with being a cement finisher with Pyramid Construction Ltd., applies a smooth finish to the freshly poured cement prior to brushing on the corner of Cornwall Avenue and James Lane on Thursday afternoon. The new concrete curbs and sidewalks constructed on the street are part of the capital city’s 2017 streets rehabilitation program ongoing around St. John’s this summer.
